A few words about the Palms, Cocktail Lounge, and Hideaway Wine Bar
Chef Kevin has been in the kitchen leading a variety of restaurants for 20 years. Chef Kevin graduated from the Okanagan Culinary College and completed his apprenticeship at Michelin Starr Thaillevant, and in Milan in Italy at Milanos Trattoria. Kevin’s first Executive Chef job was running Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club where he hosted the LPGA Canadian Open in 2000 and then again in 2010. Kevin then opened up his own Italian restaurant Olives in Calgary. In 2015 Kevin became the Corporate Chef of the Great Estate Wine Group heading up 5 premier Okanagan Wineries including Canadas first Aboriginal-owned winery Nkmip Cellars. When asked Kevin said his greatest attribute was raising his son Oakley while developing his chef career, and getting married last year to his lovely wife Ashley, who you can find serving in our dining room or shaking a cocktail in our lounge.

The Palms Dining room is warm and comfortable. The rich millwork, high ceilings, fabulous lite fixtures and incredible art work make it a room perfectly created for a special dining experience. We are quickly becoming a go to date night hot spot or the perfect room for special events such as birthdays, anniversaries or family get togethers.

The Palms Cocktail Lounge is an inviting, comfortable bar, staffed with very friendly and passionate professionals. A nice selection of local craft beer, classic cocktails, soon to be classics developed by a truly dedicated group of bartenders and mixologists and a fantastic wine selection. The addition of the wine bar has presented us an opportunity to add some very incredible local wines and additional wines from around the world.

The Hideaway Wine Bar has become a hit. The Palms Executive Chef, Kevin Cooper, is also a wine expert. He built the food menu for The Hideaway with wine pairings in mind. The small plates and sharable menu is filled with incredible flavor profiles allowing our wine experts running the wine bar to pair fantastic wines with fantastic food. What could be better?
